CRIME WATCH ALERT: AUGUST 18, 2024

The Crafton Police Department took a report on today’s date regarding the theft of packages form the front porch of a residence on S. Linwood Ave. The thefts occurred last week. If anybody saw someone removing packages form a front porch last week please contact the Crafton Police Department. These incidents tend to occur more around the holiday season however can occur anytime as they crimes of opportunity. It is a good practice that if you are expecting a delivery and know that you will not be home to set up an alternate date or delivery location. You can also request a signature or have it delivered to a neighbor that is home. Another option would be to leave a note for the delivery person to place the package out of sight from the roadway or sidewalk.

Residents are reminded to ALWAYS lock your vehicles and do NOT leave anything of value in your vehicle. Several neighboring communities have had thefts from vehicles recently along with multiple vehicles stolen.

PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR VEHICLES UNLOCKED OR LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR VEHICLE.

ALWAYS REPORT ANY SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY AND/OR PEOPLE IMMEDIATELY TO 911.
