ALLEGHENY LEAD-SAFE HOMES PROGRAM

The Allegheny Lead-Safe Homes Program offers qualifying homeowners and renters in the county free lead-paint testing and hires a certified lead-abatement contractor to stabilize or eliminate lead paint.
Examples of work include repainting chipping and peeling lead-painted surfaces, window and door repair or replacement, and enclosing old exterior lead-painted trim.

Allegheny County Lead Safe Homes Program (link)
The Allegheny Lead Safe Homes program offers qualifying homeowners and renters in Allegheny County with free lead-paint testing throughout their homes and hires a certified lead abatement contractor to repair any lead hazards found up to $12,000. Examples of work include repair and repainting of chipping and peeling lead-painted surfaces, window and door repair or replacement, and enclosing exterior trim and components. Utility Bill Assistance

ALCOSAN Clean Water Assistance Fund (Clean Water Assistance Fund)
ALCOSAN’s Clean Water Assistance Fund helps families afford their sewage treatment bills. Dollar Energy Fund currently serves as the program administrator on behalf of ALCOSAN. Under the program, a credit of $32 will be applied every three months to the account of an eligible customer. The credit will appear automatically every three months, even if the customer is billed monthly, bimonthly or quarterly. Dollar Energy Fund works with several utility companies to coordinate resources to help with utility bill payments for customers on limited or fixed incomes.
