***LOCK YOUR VEHICLES***
The Crafton Police Department took several reports of thefts from vehicles on Sunday November 3rd that occurred in the overnight hours. Vehicles parked on Parke St., Belvidere St. and S. Linwood Ave. were targeted. Most of the victims reported that their vehicles were left unlocked. Some residents did have items that were stolen from their vehicles. Additionally, another vehicle on S. Emily St. was reported to have been entered and money stolen from it on November 5th. Some of the vehicles that were targeted were parked in the driveway and not on the street. One resident did capture surveillance video of three skinny males in one of the reported thefts on S. Linwood Ave. Please check your cameras and submit any information to the Crafton PD. The time frame seems to be midnight through 3AM.
Kia and Hyundai owners are reminded to take extra steps such as using a steering wheel lock to secure your vehicle due to the recent thefts of these types of vehicles which was made popular on social media.
Residents are reminded to ALWAYS lock your vehicles and do NOT leave anything of value in your vehicle. Several neighboring communities have had thefts from vehicles recently along with multiple vehicles stolen.
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR VEHICLES UNLOCKED OR LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR VEHICLE.
ALWAYS REPORT ANY SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY AND/OR PEOPLE IMMEDIATELY TO 911.
