CRIME WATCH ALERT: OCTOBER 07, 2024
The Crafton Police Department took several reports of thefts from vehicles today that occurred in the overnight hours (Sunday into Monday). Three of the four vehicles the reports indicated that the vehicles that were entered were left unlocked. Loose change, cash and a computer bag were stolen from the vehicles on Lincoln Ave., Broadhead Rd., Center St. and Duncan Ave. A resident with a camera on Lincoln Ave. captured one suspect who appears to be a white male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white design on it. Crafton Police were dispatched to the area of Lincoln Ave. just after 11PM on Sunday October 06, 2024 for a report of two white males wearing hooded sweatshirts trying to car door handles. The area was checked on foot and by vehicle with the suspects not being able to be located.
If you live on any of these streets and have some type of security/surveillance camera please review them and forward any information to the Crafton Police Department. Thank you for your assistance and remember to call 911 immediately if you see similar type of activity.
Residents are reminded to ALWAYS lock your vehicles and do NOT leave anything of value in your vehicle. Several neighboring communities have had thefts from vehicles recently along with multiple vehicles stolen.
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR VEHICLES UNLOCKED OR LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR VEHICLE.
ALWAYS REPORT ANY SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY AND/OR PEOPLE IMMEDIATELY TO 911.
