CRIME WATCH REPORT FOR MAY 2023:

5-15-23. A residence in the 200 block of Clearview had a window broken out and an unwanted person entered the residence. The homeowner woke up and yelled at the suspect who fled the area prior to police arrival without stealing any items.
5-16-23. A parked vehicle in the 200 block of Clearview Ave. was struck by an unknown vehicle sometime this morning.
5-18-23. A bicycle was reported to be stolen from the front yard of a residence in the 1700 block of Barr Ave.

Tips/advice:
SCHOOL IS OUT FOR SUMMER!!!!! Please be extra cautious around the parks and playgrounds and be aware of children playing outside on the streets. Let’s make this a safe summer for all residents and visitors of Crafton. Do not be afraid to call 911 to report anything suspicious.

As always, lock your vehicles every time that you exit them and bring in toys and bicycles every night to prevent them from being an easy target for a thief.

Curfew hours (juveniles 17 and under) are 11PM-6AM Sunday-Thursday nights and 12:01AM-6AM on Saturday and Sunday.

Please remember to report any suspicious activity, people or vehicles immediately by calling 911. Also do NOT provide any information to people over the phone that call you. This is a good reminder for those residents that have elderly family members and friends as they are far too often the targets and victims of these types of schemes. The same advice goes for emails and text-based communications. Do NOT provide any information to anyone that you are not 100% of who they are. If in doubt, end the conversation and contact the Crafton Police Department. An officer will assist you in looking into the matter and provide you with guidance.
