Crime Watch Alert - May 15, 2023

The Crafton Police Department responded to a residence in the 200 block of Clearview at approximately 4:00 AM for an unknown person that entered the residence. The suspect threw a cement block through a rear window and crawled through it. The homeowners woke up and yelled at the male who fled through the damaged window prior to police arrival. The suspect did not steal any items prior to being approached by the homeowner however there was some property that was damaged during this incident. Some evidence was collected for processing.

A residence next door also had a window that was smashed out while the homeowners were away. An alarm scared the two male (all black clothing) suspects off however this incident was never reported to 911 or this department. This department is following up with the homeowners at this address also and are awaiting more information. This same residence was burglarized a couple of months ago. It is uncertain at this time if these incidents are all related or not. If any resident has any information or security camera footage from 5-15-23 around 4:00 AM please contact the Crafton Police Department.
