CRIME WATCH REPORT FOR SEPTEMBER 2021

9-07-21. A Maplewood Ave. resident reported a wallet, 2-way radios and headlamps stolen from their locked vehicle overnight.
9-22-21. A black male wearing headphones and a backpack was observed sitting in a resident’s unlocked vehicle on Dinsmore Ave. When confronted by the resident the male exited the vehicle and walked away.
9-23-21. A White Ave. resident reported that their unlocked vehicle was rummaged through overnight and loose change was stolen.
9-23-21. A Division St. resident reported that two of their vehicles were rummaged through overnight however nothing was stolen.
9-25-21. A black male wearing a black winter jacket with the hood up, a black winter hat, black pants and gray sneakers robbed the Dollar General Store. The actor fled the store on foot and left the area in a gold or silver Chevy Tahoe on Noble Ave. and was believed to turn towards the traffic circle and continue on towards W. Steuben St.
9-27-21. Jewelry was stolen from one apartment in an apartment building on E. Crafton Ave. The resident believes it may have been her cleaning crew as she leaves her apartment unlocked and unattended at times.

9-07-21. A vehicle was rear ended on W. Steuben St. near the Thornburg Bridge. The other driver was described as an older white female who was operating a gray sedan did not stop to provide any information.
9-16-21. A Belvidere St. resident reported receiving a fraud/scam phone call from a local number advising her that her amazon account had been compromised.
