CRIME WATCH ALERT: SEPTEMBER 27, 2021

The Crafton Police Department responded to the Dollar General on Bradford Ave. on Saturday evening just before 8PM for a robbery that had just occurred. No weapon was ever displayed or threatened to be used by the suspect. The suspect did get away with money and the cash register drawer. The suspect was described as a black male wearing a long black winter jacket with the hood up, a black winter hat, black pants and gray sneakers. The suspect fled the store on foot and got into a vehicle in a nearby alley. The vehicle was described as a tan or silver Chevy Tahoe with all windows tinted out that was last observed traveling towards E. Steuben St. on Noble Ave. and then turned left towards the traffic circle. It is believed that the suspect vehicle most likely fled down W. Crafton Ave. towards W. Steuben St. Crafton PD is requesting anybody with any type of surveillance cameras or doorbells apps to check them for a vehicle matching this description on Saturday evening between 7:15-8:15PM. The Crafton PD is working on obtaining additional surveillance from local businesses in an effort to identify the vehicle and suspect. As always thank you in advance for any information.
