Tips/advice:
Have a Happy and Safe Fourth of July!!!
Please remember to take your belongings inside of your house or garage. If you decide to leave your belongings outside, it is a good idea to secure them somehow. Remember that bicycles are very easy to steal if left unsecured and lying around. Also remember to lock your doors, windows and vehicles. Submit a “Vacation Watch” slip if you are going out of town this summer.
This is also a good time to remember and be aware of “porch pirates.” If you are expecting a package please take some steps to ensure that the package needs to be signed for, left with a neighbor, ring your doorbell or be sent a notification that it was delivered, etc. With the uptick in deliveries these days it will only be a matter of time before the “porch pirates” return and hit our town.
Just a reminder too about curfew hours for those 17 years of age and under. Sunday through Thursday the curfew hours are 11PM-6AM. Friday and Saturday the curfew hours are 12:01AM-6AM
Another reminder to be courteous to your neighbors regarding noise. Power tools along with gasoline operated machines/tools and similar equipment is prohibited to be used before 7AM and after 9PM.
Use a designated driver, ride sharing service, taxi service or stay put if you have been drinking alcohol over the holiday weekend or anytime for that matter.
LOCK YOUR VEHICLES...LOCK YOUR VEHICLES...LOCK YOUR VEHICLES.
