CRIME WATCH REPORT: JULY 2020

Area 1- Coordinator- Katie Fazio
7-28-20. A house on S. Linwood Ave. was struck multiple times by paintballs causing damage.

Area 2 – Coordinator-Sandy Gibson
7-19-20. A resident from Lincoln Ave. reported that it appeared that someone attempted to kick in their rear door last week. No entry was made, nothing was reported stolen and only the door sustained damage.

7-28-20. A bag left behind at the Dollar Tree was stolen by an older white heavy-set female with gray hair.
7-28-20. An unattended bag was rummaged through in the locker room of Planet Fitness. A wallet and car keys were stolen in this incident. The victim’s credit card was attempted to be used but was declined.
7-31-20. A suspicious white male with a beard and glasses stated he was from the Environmental Protection Agency when he approached a residence on Belvidere St. He was accompanied by 2 white male teenagers in a red Nissan SUV. He stated that he was there to remove a raccoon from the resident’s property. No call was ever made by the resident about removing a raccoon.

Tips/advice:
Please do NOT leave your bags, purses, backpacks and other belongings left unattended anytime. The Crafton Police Department has taken several reports of unattended property being stolen recently as these are crimes of opportunity.
