Tips/advice:
***Fraud alert*** If you are selling items via social media, internet sites or in person…do NOT accept money in a check that is for more than your asking price and deposit those funds into your account after being requested to send money to others. This is a common scam. If you do receive something like this, please contact this department if you have any questions prior to making any deposits or sending anyone money.
DO NOT leave valuables in vehicle to include keys, key FOBs, money, firearms, jewelry, electronics... LOCK your vehicle EVERY TIME you exit it.

Please report suspicious activity and people immediately by dialing 911 instead of waiting until later to file a report. Take some precautions when you are expecting packages to be delivered when you are not home. Be sure to leave lights and/or appliances on to give the appearance that someone is home if you plan on traveling. Inform your neighbors and come into the police station to fill out a vacation watch form if you will be away from your residence for an extended period of time.

Remember to Click it or ticket. Wear your seat-belt all of the time. Information regarding child seats can be found on the NHTSA website regarding the proper style of seat, rear or forward facing and when a child does not need a booster seat. Crafton PD does NOT do child seat installations.

Warmer weather is here and remote learning/home schooling is nearly over. Please be mindful of more children being outside playing and use caution driving through the neighborhood streets.

Don't forget to submit a Vacation Watch form if you are fortunate to be getting out of town for vacation. It is also a good idea to let your neighbors know that you will be gone and request them to keep an eye on your property as well. Do NOT leave your valuables outside on your porch or deck either if you would like to hold on to them for a while.
