CRIME WATCH ALERT: DECEMBER 10, 2020

On the night of December 8th through the morning of December 9th the Crafton Police Department took three reports of vehicles being entered. These reports were made from residents on Barr Ave., Grace St. and McMunn Ave. One resident believes that her vehicle was locked. No damage was reported to any of these vehicles. A backpack containing miscellaneous items was stolen from one vehicle, a wallet from another and loose change from the third vehicle. Residents are strongly encouraged to make sure that their vehicles are locked. Furthermore, do NOT leave valuables in your vehicle. This includes your wallet which most likely contains your identification as well as your banking cards amongst other important information.

On December 9th Crafton Police responded to several reports of multiple shots fired on Union Ave. near the end of the street. The residence was struck and nobody inside of the residence was struck or injured. The Allegheny County Police Department is investigating this incident. This was believed to have been a targeted incident.

If any resident has surveillance cameras from any of the streets where these incidents occurred please review them and contact the Crafton Police Department.

-RESIDENTS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY UPON OBSERVING A SUSPICIOUS PERSON OR SOMETHING THAT APPEARS TO BE SUSPICIOUS.
