Crime Watch Alert: November 12, 2019

The Crafton Police Department took a report of several packages being stolen from the exterior of an apartment building in the 200 block of W. Steuben St. this evening. These types of crimes tend to occur more frequently this time of year due to online holiday shopping. Please request a signature, delivery to a neighbor that is home, deliver at work, request the delivery driver place the item out of sight or some other type of delivery method may be able to be requested. Help to protect yourself by using these suggestions or anything else that you come up with that may work better for you.

The Crafton Police Department also took a report of a front door being forced open on McMunn Ave. earlier on this date. No items were stolen from within the residence and nothing inside of the residence was damaged. It is believed that someone kicked the door open. Officers spoke to neighbors in the area who did not report hearing or seeing anyone in the area. If you have any knowledge of who did this please contact the Crafton PD.

-PLEASE REMEMBER TO LOCK YOUR VEHICLE(S) AND RESIDENCES ALL OF THE TIME.
-RESIDENTS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY UPON OBSERVING A SUSPICIOUS PERSON OR SOMETHING THAT APPEARS TO BE SUSPICIOUS.
-IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING (Please call 911 immediately, not later)
Remember if it seems too good to be true. It probably is.
