CRIME WATCH REPORT: APRIL 2021

Area 1- Coordinator- Katie Fazio

4-29-21. A hit and run accident of a parked vehicle was reported to have occurred overnight on Fountain St.

Area 2 – Coordinator-Sandy Gibson

4-11-21. A dark colored older model sedan, possibly a Buick struck two vehicles in the 200 block of Noble Ave. causing significant damage. The vehicle was last observed heading into Ingram from Cross St.

Area 3– Coordinator- Diane McQuaide

4-08-21. A Dinsmore Ave. resident received an email stating that their subscription from Defender Virus Security was renewed for $500. The resident contacted their bank and was advised that no money was transferred out of their account. SCAM.

4-10-21. A bicycle was stolen off of a front porch in the 100 block of Dinsmore Ave.

4-06-21. A vehicle was stolen from an apartment building parking lot in the 200 block of W. Steuben St.

4-10-21. An unlocked vehicle on Norma St. was entered overnight and cash was stolen from it.

4-14-21. A business’s front door was damaged overnight. A suspect has been identified and will be facing charges.

4-14-21. An unoccupied vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle in the giant Eagle parking lot.

4-14-21. A suspicious white male wearing glasses, a red plaid shirt and jeans was observed near Afton Ave. and Duncan Ave. attempting to get into vehicles. The area was searched with negative results on locating this male.

4-19-21. A hit and run accident was reported to have occurred the day prior in the Giant Eagle parking lot. The suspect vehicle is believed to be white in color.

4-29-21. A hit and run accident of a parked vehicle was reported in the Giant Eagle parking lot.

Tips/advice:

Warmer weather means more outdoor activities. Please remember to secure your toys, bicycles and other property or place them inside your house, garage or shed to protect them from thieves. Do not be an easy target. Please be cautious of children playing in the streets as well.
