CRIME WATCH ALERT: NOVEMBER 05, 2021

The Crafton Police Department responded to an address on Lawson Ave. for a male that was observed via video surveillance on the caller’s porch. This occurred at approximately 4AM and was not reported at that time. The male was described as either a light-skinned black male or a white male wearing a gray hoodie, jeans, boots, and a black backpack. At approximately 6:45AM the same resident called into 911 to report a vehicle (white Mitsubishi Outlander) blocking her driveway. The resident spoke to the male in the vehicle who stated that he believed that his battery was dead. The resident went inside to call 911 and the vehicle left prior to police arrival. It is possible but unknown at this time if it was the same male that was there earlier. The resident also reported that her vehicle was rummaged through however she did not report anything stolen.

A resident from McMunn Ave. reported that his vehicle was rummaged through overnight, and nothing was stolen even through there were several valuable belongings to include a shotgun in this vehicle.

A resident from E. Crafton Ave. reported that her vehicle was rummaged through overnight and a 4-shot pepper-ball gun was stolen from it.

Another resident from McMunn Ave. found a back-pack behind some hedges and turned it over to police.
