Crime Watch Alert: February 19, 2020
The Crafton Police Department took a report on this date of a forced entry burglary at an unoccupied home in the 200 block of W. Steuben St. The thieves made off with several barrels of insulated copper wire. At least 4 windows were broken by the thieves as well by throwing items through them. The thieves also took the time to use spray paint and paint a few items within this gutted house. A couple of door frames and jams were damaged also by being forced open. Finally, the thieves also dumped kerosene on the floor that was used for the Contractors space heaters to keep warm.
This incident occurred within the past 2 weeks. It is believed that the thieves were likely juveniles based upon their childish artwork. If you have any information, please contact the Crafton Police Department.
An unlocked vehicle in the 1600 block of Barr Ave. was entered overnight and loose change was stolen.
