CRIME WATCH REPORT: MAY 2019
Area 1- Coordinator- Katie Fazio
5-23-19. A message was left on a S. Linwood Ave. resident's voicemail stating that her social security number has been frozen due to suspicious activity and to call the number back. This is a SCAM.
Area 2 – Coordinator-Sandy Gibson
5-06-19. A hit and run accident occurred at E. Steuben St. and Noble Ave. The suspect vehicle fled southbound on Noble Ave. in a white pick-up truck that was pulling a trailer with a Missouri registration. The truck was not able to be located.
Area 3– Coordinator- Diane McQuaide
5-10-19. A burglary was reported in the 1800 block of Crafton Blvd. Electronic items and jewelry was stolen from the unlocked apartment.
Area 4- Coordinator- Amy Buchman (acting)
5-24-19. A parked vehicle on Parkview St. had a broken window. It is unknown if this was an intentional act or an accidental act caused by a landscaping service cutting grass and weeds in the area.
Area 5- Coordinator- Mary Fleming
5-24-19. A parked vehicle on Alley A was egged and keyed. A suspect was identified and will be charged.
5-31-19. An unsecured mountain bike was stolen from a porch in the 200 block of Clearview Ave.
Area 6- Coordinator- Bill & Janet Finlay Jr.
Tips/advice:
SUMMERTIME!!!!! Please pay extra attention while driving as more children will be out playing outside. Congratulations too all of our graduates as well!!! Best of luck to you in your future endeavors.
Please do NOT leave your toys and bicycles among other personal items outside of your residence unsecured. These are easy items to steal for the scoundrels that prey on others who have worked hard for what they have.
Be sure to stop by the police department and fill out a vacation watch if you are fortunate enough to be going on vacation this summer.
Please remember the juvenile curfew hours. Monday-Thursday curfew is at 11:00 PM. Friday-Saturday the curfew is at midnight. This is for our resident under the age of 18. This is to keep everyone safe.
