Crafton Boulevard Separation

Gateway is currently working on the Crafton Elementary Parking Lot project with Crafton Borough to construct a parking lot across Crafton Boulevard from the Crafton Elementary School in the City of Pittsburgh’s 28th Ward. Site improvements include construction of a new parking lot, ADA parking spaces, concrete sidewalk and curbing, two (2) new curb cut locations, site lighting, storm sewer, and an underground stormwater management facility. Trench work is required for installation of the stormwater management system, which consists of 8-foot diameter perforated pipes encased in an impermeable geomembrane lining with associated storm sewer piping. This project is in conjunction with the Crafton Boulevard ALCOSAN GROW Separation project within Crafton Borough that will remove approximately 25 acres from the combined system. Stormwater runoff from the GROW Separation project ultimately flows to the proposed stormwater management system located under the proposed parking lot. For the extents of this project, Crafton Boulevard is essentially the boundary for both municipalities between Noble Avenue and Baldwick Road.
