Tips/advice:
Please report suspicious activity and people immediately by dialing 911 instead of waiting until later to file a report (example, seeing people inside of a business with crow bars). Take some precautions when you are expecting packages to be delivered when you are not home.
Please do NOT respond to or send any information or money if you receive a message demanding payment to not send explicit picture and video content of you to your friends and family. This is the latest email and text message scam circulating as of now.
Do NOT leave money or valuables (such as firearms) in your vehicle if you would like to keep them in your possession. Lock your vehicle all the time. These easy targets include vehicles that are left unlocked and/or with windows partially down. Please contact the police department with any information on who may be trying car door handles and entering these vehicles to steal your hard earned belongings.
Do NOT leave your valuables outside on your porch or deck either if you would like to keep them.
LOCK YOUR VEHICLES...LOCK YOUR VEHICLES...LOCK YOUR VEHICLES.
